What happened next

Well, I guess it's about time that I post an update.

Last time I wrote, I asked for prayer about the test on Monday
morning.Well, I know you could not be praying for the particulars but
I do thank you for praying especially when you hear what happened and
how God worked everything out. Just a brief outline: Got out of bed at
4am. Left the house at 5am. Plane scheduled to take off at 6:30 but
when after we checked-in we found out that the plane was delayed till
9:50. Finally got on the plane but some passengers didn't turn up so
they had to delay further to get their bags off the plane so we took
off at 10:10. Touched down at London Stanstead at 11:15am but due to
bad planning, etc there was no one to open the gate for us so we had
to sit tight in the plane until 11:35 at which time I ran all the way
past the baggage and straight to the train station (my parents took my
bags for me). For the life of me, couldn't figure out how to use the
ticket machines so I ran all the way to the other side of the platform
to buy a ticket from the counter realising as I ran that the train was
suppose to leave at 11:45 and it was now 11:44! Bought the ticket,
realised the train was still at the platform so I hopped on just as
the doors closed and the train started moving at 11:46am. Changed from
train to tube and after running and panting all the way, made it to
exam hall 12:55pm- 5 minutes to catch my breath! Praise the Lord! The
test itself didn't got as well but I'm glad that at least I managed to
get those marks.

Before all that drama, of course, we were in Belfast. It was a really
good time though very short. It was nice to stay with a couple (Des
and Lynn Harper) whose daughter Shiela was here not too long ago
helping Drena Verwer as her assistant. I'm going to be putting the
pictures up for that soon, if not today.

Today, I had another test as well as yesterday, both of which did not
require so much oxygen pumping in and out of my body and both of which
I feel also went quite well. Over the last weekend, my family and I
went to spend some time with a family from our home church. We've been
trying to get together with them for a year and a half now I think we
said it was so it was really good to have that time. We also went to a
missions event organised by the Oxford University Christian Union but
there were not too many people. Please do, however, pray for the
people that we did manage to talk to and of course, even the other
people that were talking to the other missionaries that represented
diferent agencies there.

It's so incredible that another year is coming to an end. There's a
lot of things happening in the coming month and indeed the coming
year! I, for one, am REALLY excited about the prospect of our family
having our furlough next year. If you take a look at the Itinerary,
you'll figure out why I'm getting so excited about next year even
though it is quite some time away. Of course, the soonest trip is our
break in Egypt which I have now been informed is not wholey a break
but I don't think my family believes much in "breaks" anyway so I'm
quite excited to be adding Egypt on my 'been to countries' list.
Praise the Lord for all that is happening and for the many more things
He is going to do!
