Missing you all already...
I can't believe I'm back in Singapore again and about to leave for the UK the day after tomorrow! Time really is SO short!
Just wanted to give you a quick update on how our trip is going so far. It was so good to be able to meet up with so many people! I was really excited to have been able to catch up with one of my dearest friends, Vanessa Nicholas, while she was about to rejoin the Doulos. We had a really short time together but I'm glad that we at least saw each other since it has been 3 years since the last time. I was also slightly shocked to have seen her brother Steven on board though I had heard he might have been in the area. =0) There were so many other people that we met up with, a lot of which were unexpected but a very pleasant surprise... I wish I could name them all but I can't even begin to remember everyone all at once.
We only spent a couple of hours on the ship so time was most precious. The last few hours were spent in the Bothello Cabin eating Korean food! It amazes me how so many of these people we hadn't seen for several years and yet it is always so easy to pick up where we left off. Well, we were in Hong Kong for a total of 5 days and 4 nights and I'm sorry to say we didn't eat any Dim Sum but I guess it'll be a good reason to go back there some time.
Just minutes after stepping on Singapore soil, I also managed to meet up with some other crazy people and for the sake that they might be reading this... it was REALLY good to have been able to have that time. Valerie (the one that made it happen and always makes things happen), Jonathan (the one that was my group leader in the UK), Pam (the one who came on missions trip with us), Ruth (the one that went to Morocco with my dad) and Chris (the one that had a car to drive us home when it got late). Isn't it wonderful how we have such a great family in Christ that we can all just meet in some place and talk?
I wonder if you can tell but I'm still a little tired since I haven't been sleeping properly for a week now due to this silly cold. I'm so thankful that it is dying out so I'm trusting God that I'll be all better by the time I get back to the UK and have to start school again. Just before I leave it at that, about our prayerletter. If you have not gotten a copy and would still like to, please do let me know since this year has been a bit hectic with our address system and we've learnt that so many people have moved or something. In any case, thanks again for all your prayers and support. Please stay tuned to changes in my dad's itinerary and if you ever want to go on a missions trip to anywhere in the world, please let us know. *grin*
